Trips and Things to Do at The Arrows

We are located about 11 miles from the Watersmeet and about 13 miles from Land O’ Lakes, Wisconsin and just four miles over the Wisconsin border.  Boulder Junction is also a short ride.

There is one unique restaurant and bar on Mamie Lake here on the Chain which serves lunches and dinners including  everything from salads, sandwiches, homemade pizza, and  Friday fish fries to great steaks, ribs, walleye, and more.

Watersmeet Michigan has a cafe in town on the corner of US 2 and Highway 45.  Try their Bourbon Burger there…yum!  The Lac Vieux Desert Casino just  1 3/4 miles north of that same intersection has a restaurant with a Friday Crab Fest buffet and a Saturday Prime Rib buffet plus a full menu, and a snack bar which is open from breakfast and at least till 9 p.m. each night.  Their Reubens and French Dips are great at the snack bar, too. If you’re looking for another closer pit stop for sledding, check out the bar just north of Cisco Lake Road on Old Highway 2 to the west of us.  Pizzas and other specials are served there, too, plus it’s a great place to meet the locals.  It’s a hop, skip and a jump away when heading across iced-over Thousand Island and Cisco Lakes during the winter.  Just pick up the trail at Cisco Lake and head up over new Highway 2 to Old Highway 2.

Land O’ Lakes, Wisconsin has a cafe, an ice cream shop, and numerous great restaurants.  We feel fortunate to have such good restaurants in our area. Give the cook a break!  Just ask us for suggestions.

Don’t forget your camera and binoculars, and comfortable hiking or walking shoes. Everyone dresses casually here in the northwoods. Kick back and relax!
